Care Guide
Preserving the Beauty of Your Karigari
At The House of Karigari, every saree is a masterpiece — thoughtfully handcrafted, delicately detailed, and designed to last generations. Proper care ensures that its elegance, texture, and artistry remain as exquisite as the day you received it.
Dry Clean Only
Our sarees are created using fine fabrics, intricate embroidery, and delicate handwork. We strongly recommend professional dry cleaning only to maintain their original finish, color richness, and structural integrity.
Storage with Care
Store your saree in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight to prevent fading. Wrap it in a soft muslin cloth to allow the fabric to breathe while protecting it from dust and moisture. Avoid plastic covers for long-term storage.
Handle with Grace
Heavy embellishments such as zari, zardozi, and hand embroidery require gentle handling. Avoid excessive pulling or pressure to preserve the intricate craftsmanship.
Avoid Direct Contact with Perfume
Perfumes, deodorants, and sprays may affect the fabric and embellishments. Always apply fragrances before draping your saree to prevent stains or discoloration.
Refold Periodically
To maintain the saree’s structure and avoid permanent creases, refold it occasionally, especially along different lines for long-term storage.
Ironing Instructions
Use a low heat setting or place a soft cloth over the saree while ironing. For heavily embroidered pieces, steam ironing is recommended to protect delicate work.
A Timeless Investment
Each creation from The House of Karigari is more than attire — it is an heirloom. With the right care, your saree will continue to reflect grace, heritage, and luxury for years to come.
