A home for
India’s heritage.
The House of Karigari began with a simple thought: what if all of India’s heritage could live under one roof?

Karigari means craftsmanship.
It is at the heart of everything we do.
A fascination.
A purpose.
A house of stories.
I’m Dr. Aafreen Soudagar, the founder. India’s textiles have always fascinated me.
Every region has its own weave, its own motifs, its own way of telling a story. Somewhere along the way, power looms began to replace the hands that kept these traditions alive. I wanted to change that.
At The House of Karigari, our collection brings together the richness of India’s craft traditions — each with a distinct language, and each with a story worth carrying forward.
A country of craft,
under one roof.
Our collection brings together the weaves, motifs, and handwork that make India’s textile heritage extraordinary.
Banarasi
Rich brocades and zari from the ghats of Varanasi.
Kanjeevaram
Lustrous temple-border silks from Tamil Nadu.
Ilkal
The earthy, distinctive sarees of North Karnataka.
Paithani
Peacock and lotus motifs woven by hand in Maharashtra.
Lucknowi
Delicate chikankari from the Nawabi city of Lucknow.
Hands that create.
Stories that endure.
Behind each of these is an artisan, often from a family that has practised the craft for generations.
When you choose handwork over machine-made, you keep that art alive and support the people behind it.

From festive and wedding wear to everyday elegance, along with jewellery, mojaris, and potlis, we celebrate the people, the patience, and the culture woven into every thread.
Wear a story,
not just a saree.
More than a store.
A home for Indian craftsmanship.
